Apples finally announced a new and better 13-inch MacBook Pro. This new 13-inch Mac Book Pro gets the new Magic keyboard, this might not be the sole reason to upgrade but still is a good improvement over the last generation 13-inch MacBook Pro.
Not only the Magic keyboard, but the new 13-inch MacBook Pro also gets the new 10th gen Intel processors with the higher-end models, and the entry-level model comes with 8th gen Intel processors. Apple says that the new 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with an 80% improved graphics speed.
It comes with 16GB of memory which is upgradable to 32GB. The storage is now significantly bigger, the entry model will get 256GB and it will be upgradable to 4TB which is quite a significant number. The display comes with Intel Iris Plus Graphics and supports Apple’s Pro Display at 6K.
The new 13-inch MacBook Pro comes with Apple’s T2 security chip which brings up extra security. Including a Secure Enclave to encrypt storage. The rumors about Apple upgrading this model to a 14inch is now officially put to rest. It sports four Thunderbolt and 3 USB-C ports. The official life of Apple’s 13-inch MacBook Pro is up be 10 hours.
Coming to the pricing, it would cost you $1,299 for the entry-level model in the United States. Apple would start delivering it to customers and it would be available at select Apple stores.
Overall the conclusion is that Apple’s new small form factor laptop is a worthy upgrade over its predecessor and it definitely worth every penny. However, it would be interesting to see how Apple would handle the launch amid Coronavirus pandemic.
